Do you know who you are living with??? Are you hearing strange noises?? Finding holes in the bread, rice or other packets in the panty? Do the lights flicker or the power trips out sometimes?

No, it’s not a super-natural being or extra-terrestrial activity it could be rodents.

Rats loving living and breeding in roof voids and can cause all sorts of damage to electrical wiring, air conditioner ducting and leave their faeces and urine everywhere. Mice love scurrying around in kitchens and pantry cupboards.

The best-known rat species are the black rat (Rattus rattus) and the brown rat (Rattus norvegicus).

The Black (Rat -Rattus rattus) - is typically 15 to 22 cm including their tail, and weighs 75 to 230 g. They are usually black to light brown in colour with a lighter underside. Scraggly coat of black fur and is slightly smaller than the brown (Norway or Rattus norvegicus) rat.

The Brown rat (Rattus norvegicus) it is a brown or grey rodent with a head and body length of up to 28 cm and a slightly shorter tail. It weighs between 140 and 500g.
